Working as a crew member on a schooner requires a combination of nautical skills, physical endurance, and adaptability to maritime life. A strong understanding of sailing principles is essential. Physical fitness is crucial. Additionally, the ability to work well in a team, follow instructions, and maintain a positive attitude in challenging conditions are key attributes for success in working on a schooner. Being comfortable with living in close quarters and being away from shore for extended periods is also necessary for life aboard a Maine windjammer. As those amazing individuals arrive for the season, we'll take a moment to introduce them. WE ARE VERY FORTUNATE!
